Great post! I can relate with your feelings of guilt and the ensuing self examination. I once found a really nice watch in a parking lot. My first instinct was to keep it. My daughter was small and the way she looked at me made me give it to the parking attendant in case someone reported it lost. Her gaze made me want to be better just as an example of what was possible. I wish my moral compass did not require such correction. FYI: I’m sure the attendant kept the watch! It’s now on his Karma and not mine…a more troubling question: Did I set him up to make a decision that would negatively impact his karma and am I now karmically responsible for his bad karma?

Thanks for reading and the reply Jeff! Yeah I can only imagine that having little beings who you brought into the world looking up at you can only affect how you decide in the world. Well, one would hope to be. I guess it's always like, what would I want someone to do if it was my thing that they'd found?

This turned into something i wasn’t expecting, yet totally can relate 100%. Interesting how our mind goes through a mini battle. it’s like, is it worth going through all the emotions in the first place?? How would you feel if you just turned them in right when you found them?? (probably would enjoy your meal more OR you could be thinking about how bad you needed those airpods) i guess we will never know???

Life is always a journey ain't it? I def would have enjoyed my time at the restaurant more if I'd just turned them in. It's a spot we've been to before and we'll likely go to again and I know it will always be on my mind whenever I am there.
