It's hard for me to not get upset at someone who asks for my solicited advice and doesn't take heed to it or vents without being open to advice. Feels dismissive/abusive.
It is hard. It takes a lot of patience. I still struggle with it. I feel like they wasted my time. But maybe they needed to hear it anyway. Also, hi Dee!
